Final render of my model. I have added some dirtying and such to the wood and played with the metal settings as well.
Hammerhead Tomahawk
Creating the blade of this was quite a challenge for me, but I find it has turned out quite well.
Fine turned the model in Maya and textured it in Substance Painter. I quite like the way the metal turned out in the end, though it was difficult to balance it all out that way.
This is the game-res model with the textures of my high-res baked on. There are some hiccups here and there, but those will be painted out when I start texturing it.
My references. I am primarily using the far-right image for reference, but taking some points of each of these in a way. Primarily the hammerhead on the bottom-right and far right, and the smooth blade of the bottom-left two.
Work done for my Project & Portfolio IV class as Full Sail University. This is my high resolution model now, and I will be adding a Game resolution with texturing later on.
